Isn't it crazy to think that the God who created the universe lives inside of you? It's insane to think you can feel his presence in your laughter, but also in your pain. Isn't it amazing to think that you never have to wonder if anyone cares for you, that you know through the ups and downs God will always love you! Because he lives in side of YOU. Yes YOU! But isn't it also crazy to think that he also lives inside that person that just cut you off in traffic? Or how about that lady that just yelled at you at your job? Or what about the man who just pulled out a million coupons in front of you in line at the grocery store? God created everyone in this world and he loves each of his children equally. He created each of his children with a specific purpose in mind. I personally believe because we are given free will we have an option to fulfill this purpose for us or ignore it, but none the less we all have a little piece of God inside of us.I am a firm believer in loving each other and loving each other well. Sometimes people make that hard though. They fight and do hurtful things because they don't want anyone to get close to them. Why do they do this? Because they can't stand the thought of losing someone else, or maybe they have had a bad day and want to bring others down, or sometimes its just plain ignorance. The point is don't take it personal. God calls us to love one another. And no, that doesn't mean just love the people who love you back. It means love those who hurt you, who sinned against you, who hate you, who inflicted some kind of physical or emotional pain that just seems to permanent to EVER be able to love them again. But guess what? God says to love them anyways. You never know what kind of day someone is having. That man who cut you off, his mother may be dying of cancer and he's rushing to the hospital, that woman who just yelled at you at work, she maybe just lost her job and has a family she has to provide for, the man who has a ton of coupons, he may be living pay check to pay check not knowing if this will last him the rest of the week. So next time you feel hate building up inside of you for that person who did you wrong change it to love. Pay someones grocery bill in front of you, give that lady a hug who yelled at you (chances are they need it), let that person go in front of you without blaring your horn at them. We are all in this together and wouldn't you rather love instead of hate? Sometimes these people have hit rock bottom, and they've hit it hard. And guess what? The rock at the bottom isn't God for them it's just one big hard rock. One that hits them right between the eyes, one that sucker punched them right in the stomach and they don't feel like they can get up again. That is why we as christians need to love EVERYONE! Some people don't have God, so it is important for us to show them who God is.We can do this through our actions. One thing I tell my 6th grade girls bible study every week is to show love to those who seem unlovable. It is hard to love those who did you wrong, but boy is it worth it! Sometimes in a world full of darkness and anger you are the light, the light who is showing love to those who don't deserve it. After all that is what Jesus did for us.
So yeah, the world is a mess. It’s broken and dark. Just don’t forget to flip on the switch.

VerseBut he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me. PrayerMy prayer for each one of my sweet sweet readers is that you will feel Jesus' radical love exploding from the pages, and the name of Madison isn't being proclaimed, but rather the powerful and beautiful name of Jesus. He is the writer of each of these posts, I'm merely the vessel. Categories
